New Generation Spandek

Upright Ireland are the manufacturers of 'Spandeck' decking and roofing systems. Quantum were commisioned to build a special purpose machine to improve design and performance.

New forming capabilities on the new machinery have prompted the development of a unique, rivet-less connection between the deck and side members.

• Users can slide Spandeck sections across scaffold tubes and steel roof members without damage to tube or painted surfaces, and with less handling effort.
• The absence of rivets improves Spandeck's long-term corrosion resistance in exterior applications.
• New generation Spandeck's is 8% more rigid with a weight increase of just 3%.
• The new 9m heavy duty version Spandeck is 4% more rigid with a weight increase of just 1%.

The new line trebles Spandeck capacity to cope with dramatic increase in demand.
